DISCIPLINE • EXCELLENCE • JOY
Parker Morris
Parker Morris, the founder and Executive Director of the Crystal Coast Boy Choir, brings a deeply rooted passion for the arts. Parker’s love of music began at a young age, when early in elementary school he began playing the violin. This set the foundational support to develop further in vocal music, piano, saxophone, and guitar. Over the years, voice became Parker’s primary passion and instrument!
Parker joined the Raleigh Boychoir in the second grade, where he quickly excelled and was selected to the elite, travel choir. This growth allowed the opportunity for Parker to sing in the White House and National Cathedral; then culminating with a solo in Carnegie Hall. He also sang at the opening ceremony for the NC Special Olympics in the fourth grade.
The fundamentals of music, coupled with the structure of the Boy Choir, gave Parker a life-long appreciation for the discipline needed to achieve excellence. The lessons learned at a young age striving for musical distinction permeated throughout his life as he grew into adulthood. The structure needed for high level accomplishment is the blessing Parker seeks to provide to the next generation of boys with God’s gift of music.
Upon aging out of boy choir, Parker continued his vocal music education through high school. He was the top male singer selected to the North Carolina Governor’s School his junior year in high school. Parker then attended the University of North Carolina where he conducted the acapella group, Tar Heel Voices.
Today, Parker sings at church, plays piano for his family, and helps develop vocal music with youth. He is blessed with an amazing wife and three children. Outside of music, Parker runs two boutique recruiting firms. If he is not with his family, at church, or at work, you will find Parker exploring the offshore waters of NC or duck hunting.
